Musty smells hit us as we decended into the basement of this townhouse off the George Washington Parkway. On the first day of construction we found leaks in the foundation walls and had to stop work. We worked with the homeowner to find an affordable solution to avoid mold issues in the future and solve the ones already present. After waterproofing the walls and making sure the sump pumps were working it was back to the real work.

We framed and finished the walls with drywall. Put in a pocket door. Added several electrical circuits with recessed lighting, wall sconces, numerous outlets and hidden wiring in preperation for the home theater the home owners had planned. New white oak stairs, tile floor, a new bathroom and some elegant craftsman style trim helped make this a warm and comfortable space to help the homeowners escape the daily grind.
